Most other beacons will be lit at 9.45pm. The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Anchor Chain will begin the ceremonies in the UK at 9.30pm.

From Glastonbury to Taunton, the beacons will be lit to mark the Queen's incredible achievement. More than 40 communities across Somerset will also be celebrating her majesty's 70 years on the throne by lighting a beacon on the evening of June 2. Royal fans will be gathering over the extended bank holiday weekend to see more than 2,800 beacons set alight across the UK. Scores of beacons will be lit across Somerset to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
